What's in bloom at the garden?

As the colors change and the weather gets colder here in the PNW, fall-flowering plants are show off their fall colors! Chrysanthemums （菊花）and sweet osmanthus（桂花） really take center stage, here at the garden!

随着西北区域的天气变化和深秋的到来，西华园的秋色开始盛开。现在灿烂多彩的菊花和桂花成为了西华园的C位！

As you meander through the garden, you’ll find that there are many varieties of chrysanthemums including anemone and 秋菊 (autumn chrysanthemum).

Chrysanthemums here are in all kinds of colors from oranges, to purple, or white like a snow skin mooncake.

菊花的颜色不限于橙色紫色或透明的白色如冰皮月饼。

If you’ve ever wandered into the garden at this time of year and noticed a sweet and pleasant smell, you might have smelled our sweet osmanthus! It’s our office coordinator’s favorite flower, and I’m sure many others across the world whether in Chonqing or Seattle. It’s impossible not to stop and take in the smell of osmanthus

Alongside chrysanthemums in the aster family, are our lovely zinnias. And of course we can’t forget the Chinese rose 月季, not to be confused with the typical Damascus rose which is the typical image that comes up when we think of the word rose.

除了菊花，花园的菊属还有百日菊。最后并不能忘记我们的月季。月季不能与大马士革玫瑰混淆，虽然一听到‘玫瑰’大马士革玫瑰是我们脑海里第一个印象。
